The Lost Author by Chris Barkley

The Lost Author is written by Author Chris Barkley. It is psychological thriller with a touch of suspense and dark secrets The story is set up on a remote island and dates back to the year 1949. A young novelist Eaun is invited by his mentor to complete his masterpiece. But when his mentor is found dead and his manuscript got missing, circumstances become more dark and mysterious. The hunt for the killer continues as the protagonist gets engulfed by the web of secrets.

The atmosphere of the novel is highly mysterious and full of suspense. There are many layers to the story which makes it more complex and intriguing.The description of the mansion is haunting which unsettle the readers and builds up tension in the story. The missing manuscript haunts the readers till we come to climax. A must read for slow paced emotional thrillers.

  📚 BOOK REVIEW The First Wave: Life of a Covid Warrior Dr. Prashant Nayak does a fantastic job of bringing forth the emotional, mental, and physical toll that the pandemic had on doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. While there are many good things in the book, my favourite is the journey that the author describes at the end of the book- I could feel the tension in my neck worrying if he would actually be able to go home. The description of the entire journey is so picturesque, I felt like I was in the car with him and his co-passengers!
