She visited the Old Age Home which also disappointed her. One day she decides to keep a tenant in haveli for her company. Yet a new episode starts with this....
This book resonates with the elderly people residing in our houses alone after their spouses depart from this world and children happily settled abroad. They are left alone to guard the house and wait for their loved ones while counting their days till the end.
The story showcase the complexities of human mind. A short yet powerful novella which is thought provoking. The writing is engaging with a strong grip on hindi vocabulary. The character of Jumman and his friend Nathu adds humour to the story. It highlights emotions such as the loneliness, fear, threat, affection, self dependence and hope.
A perfect entertainer to grab in the afternoon(Dopehri). It will refreshen you up.
