Kaali by Vishal Punna

 πŸ“š BOOK REVIEW

Kaali by Vishal Punna

Kaali is the debut book by Vishal Punna. It is a gripping crime thriller which delves into the complexities of human relationships and emotions. A thought provoking book which stirs humans on society issues. It captivates the readers with the powerful plot compelling narrative and emotional depth.

A murderer moves freely in the city. He kills only women with young children. After the murder he cuts the internal organs from the body and leave them in a box beside the body and name it KAALI. An engaging thriller which keeps the readers on edge. The scenes in the story are very dreadful and chilling. The police department have not been able to catch the muderer. Rudra an ex- Police Officer takes up the charge to carry the investigation further on.

The story showcase the sick side of our society when we are greedy and think only about ourselves while the children of the house suffers. How one sick child carries the ability to destroy the peace of entire mankind. The power of police and justice has been challenged in this story too.

" A mother is the first and most sacred protector of her child. But when a mother falters in her duty - whether swayed by lust, greed or other desires - the child may be forced to rise, don the mantle of Goddess KAALI and deliver the justice that the mother failed to uphold."

A story which challenges the mind and stirs the soul. The climax leaves the reader shocked in the end. It looks like a new beginning to me and I think the author should look forward to add the second book in the series too.
