THE HOMECOMING

πŸ“š BOOK REVIEW
The Homecoming by Preeti Shenoy

The Homecoming is written by Preeti Shenoy. It is a sequel of her previous book, A Place called Home. Alka is a mother of two beautiful daughters. She is married to Subbu, the owner of the coffee plantation estate while her heart still longs for her past flame. One day her life takes a sharp bend when Subbu meets a fatal accident in the estate and all the responsibilities came to her shoulders. With responsibilities came numerous problems and dark secrets of the past.

In the story we witness the trials and turbulences which comes into the life of Alka and the way she tackles while keeping herself calm and steady. The story of love, loss, betrayal and longing. It is an emotional thriller which unravels the life of a simple woman fighting her way for a steady life.

The story is an inspiration. We learn to be calm at times of distress. The picturesque views of the coffee estate is a view to behold. The description of the beautiful landscapes of coffee estates makes the reading experience more rich and enjoyable. The old stories associated with the cottages of old British plantation growers is fascinating at the same time sad too.

A powerful and excellent story of a strong women is worth reading. The author writing style is engaging which made me complete the entire book in two sittings. The book cover has been made to win hearts over. The book is suitable for readers of all age groups.
