My Boyfriend's Fingerprint
by Smita P Mukherjee

My Boyfriend's Fingerprint is a story about a forensic expert named Meera Chopra who attained fame at a very young age while in college. She lost her boyfriend Vasu 3 years ago in a road accident and kept his fingerprints impression in a large picture frame hung in her room.

" To remember a person by his picture is a sign of vanity, but to remember a person by his prints is a sign of pure soulful love because no two prints are the same."

Vasui's death drives Meera into mental trauma and she's forced into therapy which helps her continue to perform at work with adeptness but there's always a danger of her slipping up. Meera isn't the same after Vasu's death. As she attempts to concentrate on her work, she stumbles upon Vasu's fingerprint at the crime scenes of two high profile accidents, one of socialite Kim Surana and another of a political party worker named Keshubhai Patel. These weren't accidents but murders. She's stumped to find her boyfriend's fingerprint as evidence at these crime scenes that sets off her into a tizzy and buries her in self doubt. Was her state of mind making her witness such unreasonable visuals or was there any truth to it?

Parallelly we are introduced to the world of organized crime and dirty politics. How the rich and powerful use Sigma and Antim Bharat to their advantage.

The story is full of adventure and unexpected events. It is a fast paced novel which keeps us flipping the pages. The plot of the story is very layered with multiple characters. The narrative is detailed and relatable. The suspense is hidden behind several layers. With all the twists and turns the story will surely win the hearts of mystery readers.

The story is a suspense thriller. It keeps haunting us until we unravel the truth buried beneath the fingerprints. A well written and well researched book. What's interesting about the story is 'the ending is not obvious' and that makes it a page turner!

A powerful story which highlights mental health, depression, forensic science, substance misuse, determination, persistence, love, loss and grief. The writing style is simple yet engaging. I completed the book in three days. I really appreciate the author’s writing style and the unique topics covered. The climax is unbelievable. It's more than what meets our eyes.

A Story where everyone is under wraps. Beware as everything is disguised under deception. I enjoyed every bit of it and encourage readers to try it out if you are looking for a tricky read.
