π« The year 2020 has been a very challenging time for the entire world. The sudden lockdown nationwide during the pandemic made it an unforgettable year. How the course of life was changed overnight, it was no less than a nightmare. Many people call 2020 a cursed year, which is the worst in the history of human civilization.
π« The Year that wasn't is a diary of a fourteen year old girl, Author Brisha Jain. The book has been written in the format of Brisha's diary from the starting of the year 2020. We are able to see the world during the pandemic through her view point. She explains the evolution of the coronavirus in a systemic way.
π« The book is written in a simple and smooth manner which can be completed within two to three sittings. The author has tried to capture almost everything in a beautiful manner. The language used is lucid and simple. The narration is descriptive. I could relate with the book details so much as I hail from the same city.
π« Reading this diary was a total new experience for me where the readers see the world through the young eyes of the author. From her books we derive that she used to keep herself updated with all the details of the virus. A detailed study is involved behind this book and I hope in future people will take reference from it too.
π« Brisha is an inspiration for the new generation. She has the ability to cut the flow of social media and divert the young generation. She is the voice of the teenagers. After reading the book I no where felt that it was written by a teenager. She has the talent and I wish her more success in her future life.
π« We are really proud of the young author. She is highly talented and has the skill to master almost every field. Like a cherry on top of a cake, She is also a founder of a charitable organization COV-AID which provides free medicines, medical equipments and meals for those affected by the pandemic.
