AUTHOR INTERVIEW with Nihara Hareesh
πΊ I was fortunate enough to have an interview with Author Nihara Hareesh. Recently her book was published by the name of "The Boy Who Wrote My Story". Her novel was highly loved by our young generation. Our conversation has been summarized below :
Q1. You are a successful author, singer, traveller and film maker. So far how is your journey ?
πΊ Thank you so much for the kind words. The journey has been interesting so far. Of all the things writing has always been primary and I am absolutely love working on new pieces to put out there for readers to enjoy.
Q2. Pls share some of your childhood memories!
πΊ My favorite childhood memory is reading in the libraries or by window sils at home while it’s raining outside. Those are always the best. I wasn’t very social growing up. I always hid behind books and fantasized a world where I fit in.
Q3. How did the idea came to write this book?
πΊ On a bus ride I once caught myself pondering over the question - What if I couldn’t write because of some unforeseen circumstance? Would I ever hire a ghostwriter? And my mind began to run wild. I just had to pen it down.
Q4. Are the characters real in the book or imaginary?
πΊ There are imaginary but few of the character traits are taken from the people I know in real life.
Q5. What are you planning to write next?
πΊ I am contemplating between a horror and another romance. It highly depends on my mood but I am currently working on both.
Q6. How long did it take to write this book?
πΊ It took me quite a while actually. I had the idea for this book around 2018. But I never actually got around to finishing it until last year.
Q7. So far how is your journey as an author?
πΊ Quite interesting. I was quite sure of how accepting it would be by the readers. But I have been getting immense amount of support and love. Still wrapping my head around it all. Just grateful for everything.
Q8. Did you faced any difficulties in the publishing industry?
πΊ Yes. I am breaking into it one book at a time. A lot of the readers seem to be set on picking up books only by famed authors and that can be tiring when you trying to make a name of your own. But it’s all part of the process and I have come to accept that. The publishing industry is always evolving and I hope it evolves for the better in the years to come.
Q9. Which book is in your bedside table write now?
πΊ A Twist In The Tale by Jeffery Archer
Q10. Message for your readers.
πΊ I really hope you like my new book - “The Boy Who Wrote My Story”. It’s unlike the usual cliche love story and I hope you fall in love with the characters as much as I did. Thank you again for all the love and support. Eternally grateful.
