π« In the early 90's, people had a craze for America. Anyone going to the States or returning from there was highly respected. In that dedace people lead a monotonous life, with a single national channel and absense of internet. Life was very different from today's world.
π« Chennai to Chicago is a memoir of a Software Engineer who wants to go to the 'States' (USA) since his childhood. Earlier in his childhood days, around the 90's Internet service was not available in India to its uttermost requirement. Only it had a television channel named as Doordarshan on which only limited programs were available. His crave for going to 'States' existed since his childhood.
π« This book is totally related to the author's life. Each and every detail is written in his book from his childhood till becoming an author. And that day finally arrived when he got a 100% scholarship and that too to a trip to USA for a month.
π« The plot if the story is interesting as well as engaging. The language used is lucid, simple and easy to understand. It is a motivational story which teaches us to pursue our dreams and one day we will definitely achieve it. We learn a lot from his struggles and experiences. I loved reading it.
