Interview with Kamal Panda

🍁🍁🍁

I feel very delighted to interview the famous author Kamal Panda. The storyteller has mastered the  skills of story writing. Our conversation has been memorized below :

1. When did u first realise you wanted to be an author ?

🎨 This is a story in itself. I used to write ofcourse like short stories, small poems. But never made it something meaningful, so there was no question of dreaming of becoming an author. In my teenage years, when I lost my parents, writing helped me a lot to stay with their memories, that's when I penned my first book "The Unfrazzled Kite." everything started with that book.

2. Where do you get information and ideas for your book ?

🎨  Thats a very tricky question. you won't believe, many ideas popped up in traffic jams. :)  So you never know, a writer's mind is a very busy place, it's always connecting dots.

3. When did you write your first book and how old were you ?

🎨  I completed my first book in 2017, it took me many years to write that.

4. What do you like to do when you are not writing ?

🎨  I enjoy reading, I am a very slow reader, just like sipping wine. :)

5. How many books have you written and which one is your favorite?

🎨  It's very early to say, I am just two books old. "The unfrazzled Kite" will always be close to my heart.

6. Please provide some suggestions on how I can become a better writer?

🎨  I am not sure if i can answer that, let me try. I think if you are true to what you are writing, or if you are able to put your imagination completely in words, you are doing justice to it.

7. What is your work schedule when you are writing?

🎨  I prefer writing at midnight, so I balance my schedule as per that.

8. Which is the first book which made you cry?

🎨 I don't remember when I did it the first time, but recently I read Looking For Alaska and it touched my heart.

9. What is the most unethical practice in the publishing industry?

🎨  I don't know it yet, I think.

10. Does writing energize or exhaust you ?

🎨  It doesnt let me sleep, it brings the dreamer in me alive, It's that much energetic.

11. What are the most important magazines for writers to subscribe to ?

🎨  If you have any suggestion please let me also know.

12. How many unpublished and half-finished books you have?

🎨  Currently have one- that i am working on.
